NOTICE TO ANGLERS: Pikeminnow Sport-Reward Fishery “Early Opener”  2026

The Columbia Point (Richland, WA), Umatilla, The Dalles, and Washougal Pikeminnow registration stations will open on April 20th, 2026. A reminder that in accordance with standard Pikeminnow Program rules all anglers must be registered prior to participating in the Northern Pikeminnow Sport-Reward Fishery. Specifically, Pikeminnow caught prior to 4/20/26 are not eligible for reward.

  • Beginning at 12:01am on 4/20/26, anglers may register for any one of the four “early opener” stations using the Pikeminnow App or using the normal paper registration process and registration box located at each station.
  • Anglers intending to use the Pikeminnow App to register in 2026 must verify they have the updated version of the Pikeminnow App (version 1.5.5 build 51). Found by pressing the menu icon found in the upper left corner within the App.
  • Anglers using the Pikeminnow App will be unable to register prior to 12:01am on Monday April 20th since no stations will appear available to select prior to that time.
  • Any issues with registering for the first day or Pikeminnow App functionality should be immediately reported using the “provide feedback” tab from the same menu.

Thank you for participating in the Northern Pikeminnow Sport-Reward Fishery.

Good Luck Fishing!

  • Registration forms are date-stamped to allow anglers to fish for up to 24 hours and submit their catch the following day.
  • Fish caught while registered at a station must be returned to the same station, during its hours of operation, for the date stamp indicated on the registration form.
  • Anglers submitting fish for payment may register for the next calendar day and all anglers must be registered for each day prior to fishing.
